We’re excited to have Dr. Walid El Khachab with us on Monday, March 31st at 10:00 AM (Vancouver time) as he presents a fascinating exploration of the Sacred in film. Dr. El Khachab will dive into the relationship between ancient precinematic forms like fabric and cave art and modern screen media. His talk will focus on skin as both screen and film, engaging with Laura Marks’ concept of the haptic in cinema.

The talk will be followed by a discussion with Dr. Farshid Kazemi and a Q&A session.
