Zev Powell

Zev researches digital geographies and bodies of resistance in the plane of composition within video game worlds through the prism of political and experimental machinima. 

Zev also organises monthly film screenings at an underground library based in Naarm (Melbourne) that activate the collection through moving image. He holds his own various creative practices that ebb and flow with his curiosities and balance out his digital / analog worlds. Most recently—In November, 2025—he completed an artist residency at Art Quarter Budapest, focusing on the concept of correspondence through postal art—building off of the samizdat traditions of Eastern European correspondence artists from the 1960s through the 1980s.
